NC Construction General Permit (NCG01) Reminders

From the State’s website (NCG01 website):

  • The new NCG01 permit went into effect on April 1, 2019
  • Permittees who have an erosion and sedimentation control (E&SC) plan approved on or after April 1, 2019 are required to submit an electronic Notice of Intent (e-NOI) form
  • Construction activities shall follow the new NCG01 permit regardless of approval date
  • The NCG01 Fact Sheet and The “Dirt” on the New NCG01 presentation will answer most of your questions
  • All E&SC plans must provide NCG01 guidance on complying with key portions of the NCG01 Permit. Sample plan sheets are linked below for the two most commonly missing elements which reference the Ground Stabilization and Materials Handling and Inspection, Recordkeeping, and Reporting requirements of the permit.

Please contact Jay Wilson at jpwilson@charlottenc.gov with any questions.
