Learn about ODOT’s plan to upgrade curb ramps in Enterprise at Nov. 19 meeting

Typical ADA curb ramp

Please attend and provide your feedback

The Oregon Department of Transportation will present and discuss curb ramp design plans starting 6:30 p.m. November 19 at the Enterprise City Hall, located at 108 NE 1st Street. Please join us to learn about our transportation project that will improve sidewalk curb ramps to comply with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.

The project will add or upgrade select curb ramps along North Street and River Street (OR Highway 82) between West Walter Street and SE School Street; and NW 1st Street (OR3) between North Street and NW Logan Street.

“Your input is greatly appreciated as we work to improve accessibility and safety for our community members,” said ODOT Transportation Project Manager Howard Postovit.

The pilot project is scheduled for construction in 2020. It will showcase options and techniques for ADA curb ramp design and construction.

“The lessons learned from this project will be used in other cities around Oregon as ODOT works to improve over 26,000 curb ramps on the state highway system,” Postovit said.
