CALLS FOR ART

What is the Artist Link Project? In addition to our goal to make the arts accessible to all individuals, Arts Access strives to encourage and promote the work of NC artists with disabilities.

Art Unblocked 2020


Arts Access, in partnership with the City of Raleigh's Block Gallery, is excited to host an exhibition titled Art Unblocked 2020 featuring works of art created by artists with disabilities. The exhibition will be on view April 1, 2020 - June 26, 2020 at the Block Gallery, 222 West Hargett Street, Raleigh, NC.

The juried exhibition is open to any artist who identifies as having a disability. Submissions due December 15th.

Annual Women's Club of Raleigh Art Competition


The Women's Club of Raleigh will hold their annual Art Festival in January 2020 at The Woman's Club of Raleigh. This year's theme is Life, Liberty and Happiness. This is a juried contest with prizes! 

Submissions from artists with intellectual disabilities are currently being accepted in all age categories and mediums: 
  • Student artists (Grades 6-12) may submit visual art works
  • Artists 18+ may submit visual artworks
Contact Martha Keravouri at 919-833-0200 or mnkeravuori@aol.com for more information and to arrange art drop off.  Submissions are due by Friday, January 24th, 2020.

ADA Coordinator Training 

When: January 16-17, 2020
Where: Phoenix, AZ
Cost: $290 (early bird); $350 (regular) 

PHOENIX - The conference will offer a variety of sessions and feature speakers from the National Network of ADA Centers, and other nationally recognized ADA experts. Registration is open to the public. More information about and registration for the ADA Coordinator Training here.

WILMINGTON - Performing in wheelchairs, dancers Alice Sheppard and Laurel Lawson traverse a stage built with hills and curves.
