As a Procurement Analyst, you will be responsible for performing assignments and projects related to strategic planning, research, communications, performance measurement, and policy development for the General Services Acquisition Regulation (GSAR) and other acquisition related directives. You will be providing guidance and assistance to GSA service and regional staff regarding acquisition policy interpretation and implementation, and will be recognized as an authority in assigned program areas, with emphasis on business and acquisition policy matters.
The Office of Acquisition Policy is responsible for developing acquisition policy and an informed and engaged workforce to help agencies deliver high value acquisition mission solutions. The office is primarily responsible for overseeing GSA-wide acquisition matters, including: GSA acquisition policy development and maintenance, compliance with laws, regulations and policies, taking action against troubled contractors, when necessary, development and execution of strategies to strengthen the GSA Acquisition Workforce.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $102,663.00 per year. Specialized experience for the GS-13 is one year of experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience in contracting procurement experience and must have included: interpreting laws, regulations, principles and policies to generate new procurement concepts; and providing expert technical leadership, staff coordination and consultation in a functional area of procurement.
The GS-14 salary range starts $121,316.00 per year. Specialized experience for the GS-14 is one year of experience equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience in contracting or related positions and must have included: providing leadership and professional expertise in the interpretation and execution of contracting laws, regulations and policies; providing acquisition management oversight and professional guidance and assistance; and developing, recommending, and implementing changes to contracting policies and procedures.
