Funding Opportunities

FCC COVID-19 Telehealth Program $200 million available, will make awards until funds run out or emergency ends. Will award up to $1 million per organization; small requests funded too (have seen awards as low as $25K). Purpose is to help health care providers provide connected care services to patients at their homes or via mobile devices. Good opportunity to acquire a telehealth platform and/or remote patient monitoring equipment. (Updated 5.15.20)

USDA Distance Learning & Telemedicine DLT Program $25 million available, applications due July 13, 2020. Will award $50K to $1 million per application, with a 15% match requirement. Primary purpose: Equipment (hardware & software) for telemedicine and distance learning. (Updated 5.15.20)

HRSA Public Health & Social Services Emergency Fund $15 billion will be made available to Medicaid-funded providers of Home and Community Based Services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. HRSA's announcement indicated that "The payment to each provider will be at least 2 percent of reported gross revenue." (updated 6.16.20)


Reimbursement

Private Insurers Paying for Telehealth During Covid-19 Expanded Policy Time
 Telehealth parity proclamation 20-29 extended to June 17. Requests have been made by several   
   health organizations the extension of this proclamation until January 1, 2021, when the payment
   parity law
