The GS-12 salary range starts at $83,397.00 per year
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify for the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service:
Specialized experience is experience applying engineering methods and techniques and construction practices related to building systems (e.g. heating, ventilation, air conditioning, architectural finishes, electrical systems, fire protection systems, or plumbing systems, etc.); defining requirements with customers; developing construction cost estimates; inspecting construction; administering construction contracts; and reading and interpreting engineering and architectural plans and specifications. Such experience must also include independently managing projects and/or large portions of projects (balance scope/quality, schedule and budget) requiring the services of multiple disciplines from project initiation phase through project closeout
Bargaining Unit status: Eligible but NOT Included in the Bargaining Unit
