The GS-13 salary range starts at $91,150 per year.
If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience which included responsibility for developing and managing construction or alteration projects. Such experience must demonstrate experience defining requirements with customers; applying construction and cost estimating methods and techniques; contract administration; inspection and acceptance of materials and workmanship and construction, installation or repair of various types of systems used in public use buildings (e.g. heating, air conditioning, fire safety, ventilation, plumbing).

1. Ability to direct and coordinate work of others.
2. Extensive practical knowledge of architectural and engineering concepts and complex building systems and the ability to read and understand architectural drawings and specifications.
3. Knowledge of business management concepts and principles necessary to mange construction projects through journey-level representatives.
4. Skill in oral/written communication.
