Lake Street (County Road 3) in Minneapolis
Lake Street lane and intersection restrictions begin Monday
Starting Monday, March 30, Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) will restrict lanes on Lake Street (County Road 3) for reconstruction between 2nd and 5th avenues in Minneapolis.
There will also be a brief closure of Lake Street access at Clinton Avenue that is anticipated to begin next week.
Closure timing
Work on Lake Street is expected to continue during the weeks ahead. Overall reconstruction of the road is expected to be complete by September 2021.
Weather permitting, the Clinton Avenue access will reopen on Friday, April 3.
Detours and access
During this work people should expect sidewalk closures and detours, as well as some intersection closures and should follow the posted detours.
