Make sure your generator is properly installed

If you've invested in a generator, also invest in proper installation. Have an electrician install the connection. Using a generator improperly endangers your family, and also line workers trying to restore power. NEVER run a generator in the home, or even inside your garage; carbon monoxide is silent, odorless and deadly. It should be run outside, at least 15 feet from any door or window.
