The DHS Center for Faith and Opportunity Initiatives is commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) of 2000 and the 10th anniversary of the DHS Blue Campaign. Learn about contributions by faith and community leaders who, over the past 20 years, have been countering human trafficking, child sexual exploitation and forced labor and impacting the prevention, protection and prosecution of human trafficking. Find out about the success of public-private partnerships in supporting survivors, the historical context of the passing of the TVPA and the adoption of the United Nations’ Palermo Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, and the role of the Department of Homeland Security countering human trafficking.
