The outbreak of COVID-19 in the United Kingdom has significantly changed how we work and travel. As many of us are now re-thinking how we travel, Staffordshire County Council (SCC) want to understand the extent to which business travel practices have changed.
Your responses to this short survey will provide us with important information on how we can best support your business with managing travel during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

Your invitation to the Midlands UK Forum for Growth
Alan White, Leader of Staffordshire County Council will be amongst the speakers at a major conference designed to grow the Midlands economy
The first of its kind, the MIDLANDS UK FORUM FOR GROWTH 2020, is the official investment conference for the Midlands. This 'economic growth' conference is led by England’s leading pan-regional partnership, the Midlands Engine Partnership, and brings together more than 150 Public and Private sector organisations from across the Midlands, the UK and overseas, to achieve the region’s vision for greater sustainable growth and economic prosperity.
With contributions and engagement from major investors from across the market, this three-day virtual event will take place on 24th - 26th November 2020, 9.30am - 1.15pm each day.
The conference will be of particular interest to UK & Overseas Investors, Real Estate and Related Sectors, Banks, Funds & Private Equity, Housebuilders, Housing Associations, Property Lawyers, Property Surveyors, Advisors, Consultants and Contractors.

Get funding for work-placements
Funding for Staffordshire businesses to kick start their business and the careers of young people is now available through the national KickStart Scheme.
The £2 billion government scheme is helping young people to get on the employment ladder by encouraging employers to offer high-quality six-month work placements for 16 to 24 year olds.
In return for a six-month placement, employers will receive:
- 100% of the relevant National Minimum Wage for that age group for 25 hours a week
- associated National Insurance Contributions
- employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions
- £1,500 of extra funding to support them with the experience, skills and training to help them onto more sustainable employment.
