General eligibility for individuals 6 years of age and older:

If you have had 0 COVID-19 vaccines before, you are eligible for a single dose of bivalent vaccine.

If you have had 1 or more COVID-19 monovalent vaccine before, you are eligible for a single dose of bivalent vaccine 2 months after the previous shot.

If you are 65 years of age or older OR are immunocompromised (and age 5 or older), you may be eligible for an additional dose of bivalent vaccine.

Children ages 6 months to 5 years are also eligible for COVID-19 vaccination. The recommendations for children are dependent on previous number of doses received, exact age, and immune status.  (You may schedule an appointment for your child to discuss options with a nurse at the health department.)

Both Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines are safe, tested, and effective at reducing your risk of severe illness. Learn more about COVID-19 vaccines.
