Vote on MFF Single Market Programme

On Monday 26 April, an extraordinary Committee meeting was organised in order to vote on IMCO's recommendation for the EP second reading position (single vote) of the MFF Single Market Programme (Rapporteur Mr Brando Benifei – S&D).
The MFF Single Market Programme is the new 4.2 billion programme to strengthen the Internal Market, to ensure support for SMEs, promote consumer protection, support actions related to animals, plants, food and feed, as well as statistics. The recommendation was adopted with 40 votes in favour, 1 against and 3 abstentions, thus backing the first reading position of the Council as announced in Plenary at the opening of the session on 26 April, thereby closing the ordinary legislative procedure.
