Moving from Hepatitis Discovery to Elimination: NIH Webinar Series on Research Advancing Hepatitis Elimination

Register for the webinar “Leaving no one behind: Research to uncover and address health disparities in hepatitis burden of disease and care” highlighting ongoing research on complex causes of liver disease disparities, with a focus on social determinants of health, that can benefit elimination efforts among underserved populations, support translation of research into implementation, and identify additional research needs.

Opening remarks will be by Dr. Eliseo J. Pérez-Stable, Director, National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities and Dr. Maureen M. Goodenow, Director, Office of AIDS Research from NIH.

This webinar will feature presentations by Dr. Grace Ma, Temple University; Dr. Yun-Chi Chen, Morgan State University; Dr. Veronica Setiawan, University of Southern California; and Dr. Martin F. Shapiro, Weill Medical College of Cornell followed by discussion and questions & answers.

The webinar series is intended to raise awareness of, and prompt dialogue on, opportunities to examine and advance progress toward hepatitis elimination. The webinars are open to anyone interested in learning more about hepatitis health disparities and strategies to reduce them.

Webinar hosted by the National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities and NIH Office of AIDS Research and is part of Hepatitis Awareness Month.
