Dear valued City of Raleigh business partner,
As a reminder from our previous communications, the City of Raleigh is in the process of finalizing the transition of its primary banking services partner. The City looks forward to the many new efficiencies that will be achieved with the completion of the conversion including advanced automation enhancements. The revised “go live” date for these banking changes is scheduled for the week of May 17. City staff are working closely with the banking project team to ensure a smooth transition.
As previously communicated on March 8, there is no action you need to take in support of the banking transition.
As a reminder, as a convenience to our suppliers, the City offers electronic (ACH) payments. While the City encourages utilization of enhanced automatization, if you prefer to be paid by check the City of Raleigh will continue to support this payment method.
Suppliers can expect to see several new changes with the banking transition as it relates to receiving payments from the City:
- The frequency in which Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments are processed will increase if you currently receive payment in this manner.
- If you currently receive payment via check, you will notice that the checks will have a slightly different look to them.
- You may also experience a slight delay in receiving paper checks as the City will no longer be printing and mailing most of our own checks as they will be printed and mailed by our new banking services partner.
