On May 1st, Mayor Bowser hosted the first DC COVID-19 Community Corps Day of Action to inform District residents about the city’s walk-up vaccination sites and to offer support in helping them to make a plan to get their COVID-19 vaccine. Together, with the support of over 1,000 community volunteers, we knocked on over 12,000 doors across all 8 Wards. While we have made great progress, our work is not done. We know there are still neighbors who need to know the COVID-19 vaccine is safe and accessible. So… we need your help! We invite you, your family, friends, and civic groups to come out and join us for our next DC COVID-19 Community Corps Day of Action. The goal is the same, helping neighbors to make a plan to get vaccinated.
