About this Event

EPA will use your registration information solely for this event. We will not share your information with any third party.

If you require special accommodations or have questions, please contact Pam Buster at buster.pamela@epa.gov by June 9th for the June 16th session and June 29th for the July 6th session.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is inviting the public to participate in Environmental Justice Consultations under Executive Order 12898 (Federal Actions to Address Environmental Justice in Minority Populations and Low-Income Populations) for two rulemakings under section 6 of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) to address unreasonable risks presented by trichloroethylene (TCE) and perchloroethylene (PCE).

The consultations, which will focus on the environmental justice impacts of the agency’s development of proposed rules to address the unreasonable risks identified for these chemicals, are part of EPA’s process to gain important feedback from stakeholders on the options for managing those risks.

Two identical sessions will occur on Wednesday, June 16th and Tuesday, July 6th, with both sessions addressing trichloroethylene and perchloroethylene. Both sessions will provide an overview of the TSCA risk management requirements, the findings from the final risk evaluations, the tools available to manage the unreasonable risks from trichloroethylene and perchloroethylene, and discussion of environmental justice concerns.

If you would like to provide oral comments during the June 16th webinar, you must register by June 9th. If you would like to provide oral comments during the July 6th webinar, you must register by June 29th. Select “listen & make a comment” when registering. You may register as a listen-only attendee at any time up to the beginning of either meeting. For listen-only attendees, select “listen-only” when registering.

Information on how to connect to the webinar will be provided two weeks before the webinar. Please ensure that emails sent from Eventbrite will not be sent to your spam filter.
