Online Payments for Self-Represented Litigants

FOR TIME SENSITIVE (URGENT) MATTERS, CONTACT INTAKE DEPARTMENT IN PERSON

Self-Represented Litigants (SRL) may make online payments directly to the court for a limited  list of services. Online payment of court filing fees is limited to the following and may now be paid online using Pay.gov ($1.00 minimum required):

  • installment payments after first initial payment (Chapters 7 and 13 only)
  • certifications, and
  • copies
Credit card payments are not accepted. 

Acceptable payment methods include:

  • Bank Account (ACH)
  • Pay.gov account

Do not use this online payment service to pay Chapter 13 plan payments to the trustee, court ordered fees, or Chapter 11 quarterly fees. 

Registered CM/ECF users must continue to submit payment through the ECF system for all services that may be paid using CM/ECF. 

NOTE: You must be able to describe the document and the total amount you are paying (e.g., case number, style, and document number). A separate form must be used for each case number. Warning: See filing fees for amount applicable for any payment returned or denied for insufficient funds, or reversed due to a chargeback.

When paying for fees, please contact the Help Desk at (855) 460-9641 or the Court’s online chat M-F* between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm PDT, to verify the fee amount.

* Closed on Federal Holidays

Please note: Services will not be completed until after the payment is processed. Services will only be provided during business hours between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm PDT. (Please allow approximately 3-5 business days from payment to receipt of service.) Visit the court’s intake department for urgent requests.
