How Can Tribal Communities Use TRI Data?
For 2019, 40 facilities located in the Indian country of 17 different federally recognized tribes reported to the EPA. These facilities collectively reported managing 25 million pounds of Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) chemical waste, 7 million pounds of which was released into the environment.
