Request for Information: Technologies that Decarbonize Commercial Buildings

On October 12, the U.S. Department of Energy and the General Services Administration issued a request for information for technologies that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions from commercial buildings; are ready for evaluation in occupied, operational buildings; and have potential for equitable, wide adoption in the U.S. marketplace.

Proposed innovations will be evaluated for use in federally or privately owned facilities, or both. Applicants are encouraged to include novel financing approaches and/or business models in proposals.

U.S.-manufactured technologies in one or more of these areas are of interest:

  • High-Performance/Low-Carbon Building Technologies and Solutions
  • Onsite Energy Generation and Storage Systems
  • Carbon Reducing or Capture
