To optimize our services for military and veteran communities across L.A. County, VPAN’s Veteran Peer Service teams and the Department of Military & Veteran Affairs’ (MVA) Veteran Service Navigators are distributed at “rally points” across L.A. County, in addition to MVA’s Headquarters at Bob Hope Patriotic Hall.

Each rally point, one in each of L.A. County Supervisorial Districts and operated in partnership with a community-based organization, serves as a hub to provide assistance and support to veterans and the MilVet* family.  Veterans and their families are encouraged to drop in at these sites or contact the respective rally point in their supervisorial districts to receive resources and services.  Services are also available through our Veterans Support Line at (800) 854-7771, *3  (9 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days a week) or by emailing veterans@dmh.lacounty.gov.

*MilVet family members include any family member of a veteran or of those still serving (active duty, National Guard, and reserves.)

What Services Are Available At the Rally Points?

Services offered by VPAN and MVA at each rally point include:

  • Accessing VA benefits
  • Mental health and substance misuse services
  • Compensation claims
  • Education fee waivers
  • Legal and financial assistance
  • Employment support
  • Housing assistance
  • Linkages to other services and resources offered by our partners

Who Can Use Rally Points?

Rally point services and resources are available to all Veterans and MilVet members of every age countywide.

  • No specific criteria for time-in-service, service era, or discharge status
  • Regardless of VA disability rating
  • No specific exclusionary criteria

Where are the Rally Points?

Los Angeles County is divided into five supervisorial districts.  VPAN mirrors that organization, with five rally points across the county—one for each district and in collaboration with a community-based organization.  Once fully staffed, each rally point will have a program manager, squad leader(s) and battle buddies who will provide assistance and support to veterans and MilVet family members.

Information for each district’s rally point and the Bob Hope Patriotic Hall is available below (to identify which district you are in, enter your address in this locator).

Are there job opportunities available?

Rally points are staffed by community-based organizations, who are responsible for hiring the personnel for the following positions:  program manager, squad leader(s) and a handful of battle buddies.  Battle buddies engage with veterans and MilVet family members directly and divide their time between the rally point and various community access points throughout the district.

If you’re a veteran or MilVet family member and think you might be interested in serving in one of these positions, please visit the respective rally point page for current openings and opportunities.
