Training Opportunities

Child Care Initiative Project

Training and support for individuals caring for infants and toddlers, providing non-traditional hour care, and those working to earn a family child care license. Participants receive training and incentives to help start their family child care business.

 

Prevention and Early Intervention Project

Partnerships with child care programs to build children’s problem solving skills, self esteem, social, emotional, and behavioral health competencies for children ages two to six in licensed child care programs county-wide through the Mental Health Services Act.

 

Trauma Informed Care Training

Trauma-Informed training and coaching to child care programs county-wide through the Emergency Foster Bridge Program.

 

Quality Counts

Professional development, resources, coaching, assessment and consultation services to licensed child care programs county-wide. Working in partnership, Quality Counts supports early care and education programs with continuous quality improvement. Click here for more information. 

Assistance for License Exempt Child Care Programs

According to the Health and Safety Code Section 1596.792 – Any family day care home providing care for the children of only one family in addition to the operator’s own children are legally license exempt.

Technical Assistance, training and licensing support are available.

Trustline

All caregivers listed with TrustLine have been cleared through a fingerprint check of records at the California Department of Justice Criminal History System; the Child Abuse Central Index of California; and fingerprint records of the FBI Criminal History System.  This means they have no disqualifying criminal convictions or substantiated child abuse reports in California. Child care providers who are not required to be licensed in California (baby-sitters, nannies, etc.) and who are providing child care to parents receiving a governmental child care subsidy are required by law to register with TrustLine.
