ATAC: State Assistive Technology Plan

State Plan for Assistive Technology (AT)

The Assistive Technology Act of 2004, as amended, provides funding to Wisconsin to operate the State Assistive Technology (AT) Program, known as WisTech. The State AT Program supports state efforts to improve the provision of assistive technology to individuals with disabilities of all ages through comprehensive, statewide programs that are consumer responsive. The State AT Program makes assistive technology devices and services more available and accessible to individuals with disabilities and their families.

Each state submits a three-year plan to the U.S. Administration for Community Living to conduct the required AT services and activities, as defined in the AT Act. The State AT Advisory Council provides consumer-responsive, consumer-driven advice to the state for planning, implementation, and evaluation of the activities carried out by the State AT program, including setting measurable goals.

Current State Plan for AT

Wisconsin's AT Advisory Council has completed the State Plan for Assistive Technology 2018-2020. This plan aims to improve access to assistive technology devices and services for people of all ages in order to continue to live independently in the community with dignity and respect.
