Learn from our experienced instructors wildlife identification, habits and habitats, regulations, safety, hunting strategies, equipment and game care. Attend this class to increase your success in the field.

Criteria for participation: 1. Youth must be between the ages of 11-15. 2. Youth must be in the immediate presence of a Hunter Education Certified Adult (18 or older) mentor to the hunt. The mentor may be exempt from Hunter Ed Certification if born before January 1, 1967. 3. Youth and mentor must successfully complete the virtual clinic on 8/23 from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in order to participate in the hunt. The link for this clinic will be sent out at a later date. Rules of the Hunt: 1. The mentor will not be allowed to hunt at the Youth Dove Hunt. 2. This Youth Dove Hunt will take place at Columbia Bottom CA in North St. Louis County. Dove hunting will only be permitted from 1:00pm until sunset in the assigned youth fields. 3. Each youth hunter must use non-toxic shot: steel, bismuth, or one of the many tungsten mix types of shot that are available on the market today. Equipment: 1. Youth hunters should provide their own shotgun and non-toxic ammunition for the hunt. 2. Youths and their adult mentors must provide their own food and drink for the hunt, if desired. Since the hunt takes place in the middle of the day, it may be hot, so bring plenty of water to drink. Dress for the weather, it is a rain or shine event. Scott & R Sarantakis
