The Draft EIS comment period is now open and we want to hear your thoughts.

Draft EIS comment period begins today! Review and share your comments now

The West Seattle and Ballard Link Extensions project is now seeking public review and comment on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The Draft EIS describes the multiple light rail routes and station locations (called alternatives) being considered and how each alternative might affect the natural and built environment and transportation systems. We want your feedback on the possible project impacts, benefits and potential mitigation the analysis has identified.

Explore the online open house to learn more about the project, read the Draft EIS document and take a tour of potential station alternatives across the entire project corridor, for both the West Seattle and the Ballard Link Extensions.

This is an especially important time to get involved and we want to hear from you! Here's how to comment and tips for writing a helpful comment:

  • Online: https://wsblink.participate.online/
  • Email: WSBLEDEIScomments@soundtransit.org
  • At a public meeting: details below
