ADVISORY BOARD ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF RACIAL JUSTICE CHARTER AMENDMENTS

The Advisory Board will provide the NYC Mayor’s Office of Equity & Racial Justice with invaluable advice that stems from decades of experience working toward transforming government. This convened body brings together diverse leaders across the City and nation with significant experience implementing and scaling strategies across government systems and demonstrated commitments to racial equity. The Advisory Board was convened to advise on implementing changes to our City's constitution proposed by the former NYC Racial Justice Commission and approved by New York City voters in November 2022.The Board will guide the Office on: 

  • Institutional Reform
  • Organizational Structure
  • Racial Equity Planning Process
  • True Cost of Living Measure
  • The Advisory Board will also provide ongoing recommendations on messaging, outreach, and stakeholder engagement across all priority areas.
