The Point in Time Count (PIT) is a federally-mandated, annual count of people experiencing homelessness in each county of the United States. Survey takers will be stationed throughout the county to approach people, respectfully speak and ask questions, and fill out a short survey that will provide census information regarding their housing situation. Community Action of Skagit County is the lead agency to administer the survey in Skagit County.
We need as many as 40 survey takers, working in pairs, to help conduct surveys in various locations such as food banks, hot meal programs, social service agencies and other places. Our greatest need for the Point in Time Count are community based outreach survey takers. Survey Takers must be comfortable approaching strangers and speaking in a respectful manner with people from diverse backgrounds.
If you are signing up to conduct surveys at your organization, please check the "N/A. I am signing up to be a survey taker at my organization." boxes where applicable, to ensure you are not signed up to be placed at a different location.
