As a reminder, each New Principal and Responsible Official listed on an e-file application or added to an existing application must be fingerprinted unless they have and can provide professional status information (credential number, state of jurisdiction, and date of expiration) in their e-file application. This normally applies to attorneys, Certified Public Accountants, Enrolled Agents, officers of a publicly held corporation or a banking official. If you provide this information, you do not need to schedule a fingerprint appointment.
If fingerprints are needed, the applicant should schedule an appointment with the IRS authorized vendor using the scheduling link provided on the application summary page.
Refer to Publication 3112, IRS e-file Application and Participation, for more information.
