Friday, April 19: As a surface high pressure system slowly approaches Kansas from the north, persistent east-northeasterly winds will aid dispersion in the Flint Hills. However, these winds will also carry smoke from potential fires across the central and eastern Flint Hills into Wichita.

Saturday, April 20: Light to moderate northerly to northeasterly winds will persist across Kansas as the surface high moves into Nebraska. These winds will carry smoke from potential fires across the northwestern and west-central Flint Hills into Wichita.		 This forecast is for air quality impacts only.
