Salsa Dance One-Day Boot Camp Tuesday, May 2, 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Location: Dining Room 2 FREE ~ Class #22564
Drill, Drill, Drill... Volunteer Instructor, Joy, will lead the group in the following footwork patterns - Basic Steps: In place, travelling basic, front/step, turn step, corner turn, full turn and side basic. Fitness with Kendra Tuesdays, May 2 - 30, 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Location: Room A Cost: $46 ~ Class #21610
Full body workout that includes stretching, low impact cardio, strength and balance training with light weights, and floor/mat core work. All moves can be modified for all fitness levels, are completed at your own pace and are set to fun music. Mats and weights provided. To register, click here.
Age Well / Drive Smart Thursday, May 4, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Location: Media Room FREE ~ Class #22563
Presented by the California Highway Patrol, this seminar is for older drivers to help improve driver safety, to help maintain insurance rates, and to provide an opportunity to learn about new laws that have gone into effect. Topics include: myths about older drivers, a confidential self-evaluation, compensation for age-related changes, nutrition and strength, "tune up" your driving skills, safe driving tips, rules of the road and transportation alternatives. Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance Mondays & Wednesdays, May 15 – June 7, 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Location: Room A Cost: $67 ~ Class #22567
Ideal for mobile older adults who wish to reduce their fall-risk by improving their balance, strength, mobility and confidence in performing everyday activities. The eight-form routine is inspired by the fundamental principles of traditional Tai Chi, which involves weight-shifting, body alignment, and coordinated movements performed in a slow, continuous, circular and flowing manner. According to the CDC, Tai Ji for Better Balance curriculum has been proven to reduce falls by 58%.To register, click here.

Transportation to the Alameda County Fair! Friday, June 30, 2023, 11:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Cost: $5 ~ Class #21741
Activity Level: Move at your own pace
Description: Thanks to a grant provided by the Alameda County Fair, Mastick Members age 62 and older may attend the fair at a reduced rate. Registration includes transportation on a climate controlled bus and admission to the fair. Members will be "on their own" at the fair and must return to the bus at the appointed time in order to receive a ride back to Mastick. To register, click here.

Mastick Thrift Shop
The Mastick Thrift Shop is open to the public Tuesdays and Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Donations are accepted on Thursdays and Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. or until FULL. Please bring donations on Thursdays and Saturdays ONLY.
Mastick Program Guidelines
We are excited to see you and want to ensure your visit to the Center is a success. In an effort to maintain the safety and well-being of members and staff, please adhere to the following when visiting:
- Face-coverings and physical distancing remain in place and are strongly recommended when inside the building;
- Stay home if showing signs of respiratory illness (cough, sore throat or shortness of breath);
- Wall-mounted hand-sanitizing stations are available in each room;
- Be sure to dress in layers, bring a hat, sunscreen, and anything necessary to provide for your own comfort.
