Film Screening: Saging the World

6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Experience this award-winning documentary produced by Rose Ramirez, Deborah Small and California Native Plant Society (CNPS) to foster understanding and inspire action for white sage. Learn about the role of white sage in indigenous cultural traditions and discuss the film, conservation and native plants with museum staff and Tribal Council Member John R. Preckwinkle III. Light refreshments provided.
About the Speaker: Bird singer and culture keeper John R. Preckwinkle III currently serves as a Tribal Council Member of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. A former leader and member on multiple Tribal committees, Mr. Preckwinkle will share his knowledge and experience with the role that nature and stewardship play in cultural traditions.
The Ontario Museum of History & Art, Associates presents the 12th Biennial Ontario Open Art Exhibition. The Museum Associates is a non-profit organization that actively supports educational programs and community events at the Ontario Museum of History & Art through volunteer staffing, fundraising, and membership.
The Ontario Open Art Exhibition gives regional artists of all ages and skills the opportunity to display their artwork and a chance to win a cash prize.
