Community Garage Sale Saturday, November 18 8 am - 12 pm
Featuring over 60 vendors, this outdoor Community Garage Sale is the perfect opportunity to find amazing deals on new and gently-used items such as antiques, collectibles, crafts, quilts, blankets, power tools, small furniture (chairs, stools, tables), kitchenware, children's toys, clothing, and much more. Parade applications are now being accepted! Register your business, organization, non-profit or special interest group to be a part of Dunedin's annual Holiday Parade held in downtown Dunedin on Saturday, December 9th.
The parade begins at 4:00 pm and travels north along Douglas Avenue, from Beltrees Street to Skinner Blvd/580.
Floats, vehicles, marching bands, athletic teams, scouts, entertainment/performance groups, and other unique entries welcome. Participation is free, except for Commercial Units ($25 fee applies).
Download the Parade Application, FAQs and Guidelines. Parade applications are being accepted until Wednesday, November 29. Register early - space is limited. Registration may close early if the parade entries reach the limited capacity.

Dunedin Parks & Recreation is looking for teens, adults, and non-profit/special interest groups to volunteer during our Old Fashioned Christmas event on Saturday, December 9 from 5-9:00 pm.
Volunteers are needed to assist with the festivities including old-fashioned games, children's crafts, S'mores station, horse-drawn carriage rides, snow slides, and Santa's elves.
This experience is a great way to volunteer with friends, fulfill service hours, and be a part of a fun, traditional community event.

Learn the great game of golf with PGA Pro Paul Sylvester. Learn putting, chipping, driving and the mental aspects of golf.

Ages 8-11 Saturday, November 4 10-11:00 am
Does your child love the outdoors and nature? We invite your budding naturalist to join our Nature Club hosted by educator, Lynette Wehner. Each month will include a different focus on nature. We will explore the outdoor area around the Nature Center, as well as perform experiments and have engaging discussions about how to help the earth.
$15 / child. Must register online or in person ahead of time at MLK, Jr. Recreation Center.
This program will be held at the Nature Center, located at 1910 Ed Eckert Dr, across from the pool / sprayground.

Ages 8-11 Tuesday, November 7 6-7:00 pm
Join our instructor, Lynette Wehner, in making a craft each month using recyclable materials! Kids will learn fun and unique ways to "upcycle" materials and give them a new purpose, take home a new project each week and learn a little environmental science! Some upcoming classes include: Bug Motel, Egg Carton Crafts, Paper Mache Pots, Bird Nest Helper, Bottle Creations, Cardboard Maze Game and more!

The Hale Senior Activity Center offers a safe and welcoming environment for seniors, their families, and caregivers. Through support groups, individuals can connect with others who are dealing with similar situations and share experiences, challenges, advice, and encouragement. Local resources, activities, and exercises may also be provided.

Medicare Part C Advantage Plan Tuesday, November 7 10:00 am Learn information on the basics of Medicare Advantage plans such as HMOs, PPOs and financial assistance programs. Presented by SHINE volunteers who will also be available to answer questions and provide enrollment or benefit application assistance.
Medicaid Q&A Tuesday, November 14 10:00 am Finally, answers to your Medicaid questions. Find out the legal way to avoid being impoverished by nursing home costs and how to save your assets, house and car, and still obtain long-term nursing care. Presented by Sean W. Scott, Elder Law Attorney.

Wednesday, November 15 3:00 pm (doors open 2:30 pm)
Get ready to dance and have some fun! The Dunedin 3 O'clock Big Band will be performing the music of Stan Kenton and a variety of dance styles such as swing, ballads, waltzes, polkas, and Latin music. Led by Bob Springer, who had over 20 years of experience in leading the U.S. Air Force Band and playing in Broadway shows. This 18-piece Big Band will provide the perfect atmosphere for socializing, meeting new people, and of course, dancing.
$5 at the door. Couples and singles welcome.

Learn the methods of fine art acrylic painting from Caroline Brown, founder of the Incredible Me Institute Inc. Art Club, who has inspired many beginners to pursue the art. All levels are welcome. Materials provided, except canvas. Please bring your own canvas: 16"x20" or less in size.

This unique program is for kids (ages 8+), teens, and adults. Lessons are taught in groups as participants learn archery over a series of classes focusing on safety, shooting techniques and proper form. Offered by Suncoast Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD); taught by a USA Archery coach.
