Open Forum Discussion Online

Thursday at 1:30

It's the "third Thursday" of the month this week on July 20, so that means it's time to join Maryann and other librarians in an online open forum discussion about whatever's on your mind! This is YOUR opportunity to network with other librarians, ask questions, share successes, and glean ideas. Join us this Thursday from 1:30-2:30!

WhoFi Question Sets for Your Annual Survey!

In case you missed all the big news, WhoFi has a new option available FOR FREE to ALL Iowa Librarians! Known as "Question Sets," this tool allows you not only to keep track of all your assorted statistics required for the state annual survey, but also to run reports requested by your board, county, and other stakeholders. Keep all your stats in one spot, make transitions to new directors seamless, AND allow those WhoFi numbers to transfer into your annual survey, so there's no need to sift through endless stacks of paper and online files to find your totals!

With the start of the fiscal year this month, NOW is the time to start using Question Sets. Contact our District Library Resources Technician, Dori Buls,  to get registered!

WhoFi New Kernels: Bike Rodeos at the Library!

Join Maryann along with Annie McCabe (YS Library at Sheldon PL) and Matt Burkey (from Iowa Bicycle Coalition) to learn how your library can host a "bike rode" (a.k.a. bike safety clinic). The Iowa Bicycle Coalition has a "bike rodeo toolkit" you can access for free, and they have a new offering of "bike rodeo in a box" kits you can apply to receive.
