Estherville PL Staff Training Day 2023
Tena Sunde, Estherville Public Library Director, has extended this invitation to area libraries: Estherville PL holds an annual Staff Development Day, this year scheduled for October 24.
Organizers are asking for pre-registration.
Note the registration deadline is this week October 19.
From the registration link below, you can select which portions of the day you’d like to attend, as well as make your lunch selection. Please enter just one person per form. This event has been pre-approved for four (4) CE credits for the full day; the attendees list will be submitted to the State Library the following day.
More from Tena: "Those registering for the continental breakfast or boxed lunch will have an invoice mailed to their library at the close of registration. The invoice can be paid at your next board meeting. If you’d like to attend, but plan to bring your own lunch, that’s perfectly fine, you can skip that part on the registration form. There are no fees for any sessions."

Bridges User Group Meetings This Month
All libraries subscribed to Bridges are encouraged to join user group meetings this month, online via ZOOM. Attendees will hear about the present structure of Bridges, the selection committee, the current budget, and recent changes to the service. There are three sessions to choose to accommodate the most people—you only need to attend one.
Because these are meetings meant for information exchange, there is no C.E. credit given. Also no need to pre-register—simply choose the session that best matches your schedule and log in. There are two more remaining. The ZOOM room link will be provided prior to the meetings.

About NW District Office Hours
NW District Office Hours are informal gatherings in ZOOM, casual conversations as we talk about whatever issues are top-of-mind. It's an ideal chance to pose questions of each other and share solutions that work for you.
And for newly hired directors, these sessions are a good networking opportunity--think of this as a virtual meet-and-greet with new colleagues.
