D6 - Hwy 57 in Mantorville: 2024 construction
Crews begin removing pavement on Monday
You may have received an earlier update today about the Hwy 57 construction project in Mantorville.
We wanted to send an update since nearly 60 new people were signed up for the updates.
Thank you to the more than 70 people who turned out on Friday evening in Mantorville for the public information session. There were lots of good conversations and questions about the project. We're glad you care!
Crews will reconstruct Hwy 57 from the South Branch Middle Fork Zumbro bridge to 9th Street in Mantorville. Work also includes replacing storm water pipes and upgrading pedestrian and bike facilities.
During construction, a detour will be in place to route traffic around the project. Motorists should use Co. Rd. 12, Co. Rd. 9 and Co. Rd. 16.
Local traffic and traffic to businesses in Mantorville will be able to use the bridge and then turn directly to a side street after crossing. Please watch for construction equipment and slow down.
On Wednesday and Thursday, weather permitting, the 9th Street intersection will be closed on the north end of town as crews will be excavating. Do not drive past barricades.
Residents and business owners with questions about access to properties can contact Scott Howard with the prime contractor Elcor Construction at 507-951-1067.
