This registration is an application process. You will be contacted to fill out an application once you finish registration. The Missouri Department of Conservation, Conservation Federation of Missouri, National Wild Turkey Federation, National Deer Association, Missouri Hunting Heritage Federation, Pheasants & Quail Forever, Missouri Disabled Sportsmen, Missouri’s Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus, Whitetails Unlimited, ALPS Outdoorz, Dead End Game Calls, MO Woods and Wildlife, and Missouri Back Country Hunters and Anglers are partnering to hold The Governor’s Inaugural Deer Hunt. These partners have come together to host events endorsed by our Governor, that mentors new hunters and manage deer populations for participating landowners. Multiple events will happen simultaneously across the state and applicants will pick their preference. Selected participants will spend the weekend with the best mentors our organizations have to offer. Besides getting to go afield with a mentor and hunt deer, participants will be instructed on how hunting fits into conservation, hunting strategy, deer biology, behavior and senses, hunting etiquette, shot placement, after the shot, gun safety, and firearm handling. Preference will be given to applicants who have never been hunting, or those who have never harvested a deer. Below are the approximate locations for each clinic and hunt.
