What to expect

Throughout spring and summer 2024, travelers will see changes to the roadway on US 12 and SR 8. Crews will slow traffic down at times to reconfigure lanes and set up new work zones. Travelers will cross over the median from one side of the highway to the other at all five locations. To keep people moving around the work zones, one lane in each direction will remain open.

These temporary changes will remain in place until the bridge structures are complete. Then crews will move traffic back onto both sides of the highways with two lanes open in each direction. Travelers will continue to see lane closures until the project is complete by the end of 2025.

This project addresses multiple barriers to fish that travel under US 12 and State Route 8 in Grays Harbor County between Montesano and the Thurston County line.
