This day-long program will bring together experts from academia, industry, and government to discuss the implications of China’s rapid economic and innovation developments, as well as recent changes in China’s intellectual property (IP) laws and practices and what they mean for U.S. businesses.
Three roundtables will cover:
- China’s changing economic and technical development needs: Implications for IP policy
- Developments in securing IP rights in China: Tinkering at the margins, or real reform?
- Development in the enforcement of IP rights in China
A group of more than a dozen distinguished panelists — who all possess in-depth knowledge and experience with IP in China — has been assembled to guide the day’s discussions.
Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Andrei Iancu will give the opening remarks.
