Leesburg First Friday

Stroll around historic downtown Leesburg on the First Friday of each month (except January), to enjoy numerous live music performances, art exhibits, wine tastings, book signings, open houses and so much more – all throughout downtown! Over 45 specialty shops, art galleries, and restaurants are open until 9pm or later, many offering free refreshments and/or special sales.

The date for the next Leesburg First Friday event is MAY 3, 2024. Be in the loop about what is going on each month by liking the Leesburg First Friday page on Facebook. The dates for the YEAR 2024 are 2/2/24, 3/1/24, 4/5/24, 5/3/24, 6/7/24, 7/5/24, 8/2/24, 9/6/24, 10/4/24, 11/1/24, and 12/6/24. (Please note, there is no Leesburg First Friday event in January, as it is the only month skipped).

  • NORTH KING STREET:

    • •Live Jazz Music. The Lightfoot Restaurant is featuring jazz music this Friday with the jazz duo of Mark Cook on piano and Fernando Bolanos on upright bass, so come on in for a fabulous meal, while listening to some great jazzy tunes.

    • 6:00-9:00 Open House. R and B Tattooing and Dominion Body Piercing are open late with an open house to celebrate their new location above the Downtown Saloon. Many people say they are the best tattoo and piercing place around!

  • MARKET STREET:

    • 6:00-9:00 Rudy! McEnearney Real Estate is hosting acoustic guitarist, Gary Rudinsky, the beloved retired art teacher at LCHS, playing an array of classic rocks songs from the past several decades. Plus a tasting event with the fabulous wines from the Gvino Enoteca Wine Shop.

    • 5:00-7:00 Harp Music CRAFT is hosting an open house to showcase their brand new cool arts and craft shop, that offers classes, as well as art supplies and craft kits. Plus they are hosting Ellen James on her Celtic harp, playing Irish folk tunes. Stop by to welcome Vanessa and Josh to downtown.

    • 6:00-9:00 Live Music The Loudoun Brewing Company is featuring live music with Felix Pickles, playing some good old classic rock.

    • Free Cotton Candy! Mocatinas, downtown’s dessert heaven, is hosting FREE cotton candy for Leesburg First Friday from 5-7pm. They also have a wonderful array of awesome desserts for you to choose from, along with some great ice cream flavors.

    • 5:00-7:00 Meet the Artists. The Leesburg Commission on Public Art (COPA) is hosting an artist reception and exhibit - featuring the artwork of Patricia Taylor Holz, on the first floor of Leesburg Town Hall. Also there will be a cool art exhibit by students from Loudoun County Public Schools. Stop by to meet these very talented art students and see their unique artwork.

  • LOUDOUN STREET:

    • 6:00-9:00 Country Tunes. Dynasty Brewing Co. is hosting Doin' Time, playing an array of cool country songs. Stop in for some great local brews and music!

    • 5:00-7:00 Vintage Pop Up. The Paisley PenHen hosts fun pop-up events during Leesburg First Fridays. Need something cozy for your loved one? Come find it at Paisley PenHen! They have lots of men's and ladies clothing and other neat finds! Look for the Welcome Dragonfly!

    • 6:00-8:00 Open House. Resourceful Woman will be open late for this month's First Friday event in May - so you can stop in to support the Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter and all the programs of LAWS.

    • Open for Dinner. Trungo's will not be hosting live music this month, but will be open and serving their unique dishes until 9pm.

    • 6:00-8:00 Sax Music! La Taqueria, downtown’s newest taco restaurant, is hosting live music with saxophone player, Manny Estrada, playing cool jazz tunes, along with some exotic Latin music.

    • 6:30-9:30 Teen Rock Band. Schmidt’s BBQ is hosting live music on their backyard patio with the band, Eternal Moon. Stop by to enjoy some great local BBQ while listening to this Battle of the Bands winner.

    • 5:00-6:00 Cool Jewelry Madisonbelle, who recently celebrated their 20th anniversary, is hosting Zia Design, featuring a wide array of Teresa's beautiful turquoise jewelry.

    • 5:00-7:00 History Pop-up The Thomas Balch Library invites everyone to a pop-up exhibit exploring the history of our downtown buildings. Visitors will have the opportunity to view past photo images and historic records related to these buildings to learn how things have changed over time. In addition to the pop-up exhibit, you can tour and learn more about the Donaldson Log Cabin.

    • 6:00-9:00 Black Swans. Books And Other Found Things is hosting author, Helen Hynson Vettori and her sci-fi political thriller book, Black Swan Impact. She will also be demonstrating how to make black origami swans.

    • 5:00-7:00 Vintage. Muz and Rose is staying open until 7pm, featuring their array of local makers and showcasing their artist of the month - Ashley Cordes.

    • 6:00-8:00 Luxury Candles. Wldwst is hosting a candle pop-up with Vas and Lux and their amazing and unique candles. Stop and smell candles!

    • 5:00-7:00 America's Route. The Loudoun Museum has extended hours for the May First Friday, so you can stop by and check out their latest new history exhibit titled - America's Routes and a Connection to the Land.

    • 6:00-8:00 Music and Wine. The October One Tasting Room is hosting wine tasting and live music by Project Awesome, as they will be rockin' West Loudoun Street with some fabulous music!

    • Meet the Author. The Global Local is hosting a fun event for you to meet Dr. Monica Page, a local psychologist and author of the book, Remembering Our Bella. Get on down to this awesome shop to check out the tons of 45's from the 50's, 60's, and 70's, as they buy, sell and trade all types of vinyl records and cassette tapes.

    • 4:00-8:00 Wine Tasting. Gvino Enoteca, a fine wine boutique, is hosting a wine tasting event of wines from around the world, in their shop located on the lower level of Market Station. Stop by to check out his vast array of international wines.

    • 6:00-10:00 Country Rock MacDowell Brew Kitchen is featuring the popular Rowdy Ace Band, playing a wide array of country tunes, that you can sing and dance along to.

    • 6:00-9:00 Wine and Art. Visit Loudoun is hosting a wine tasting event with Otium Cellars and local artist, Jennifer Bodamer and her unique pottery.

    • 5:00-8:00 Wine and Music. Neighbors: A Local Market is hosting a wine tasting event with Lee Campbell of Common Wealth Crush Company and their wonderful natural wines. Plus live music by Adalia Tara and Justin Taylor, along with an unique art exhibit by local artist, Alika Middleton.

    • 7:00-10:00 Cider Tasting. The Wild Hare Hard Cider Cabin is featuring singer/songwriter, Jessica Kenn and cider tasting from their wide array of delicious ciders, all locally made.

    • 7:00-10:00 Music and Art. The Crooked Run Brewing is featuring live music with Alex Kerns. They also host art exhibits by a different local artist each month and this month's artist is known as Bid.

    • 6:00-9:00 Escape Room. The Escape Room LoCo is hosting a fun escape room activities so you can stop by and try to find your way out of the mysteries, they have in store for you and your friends.

    • 7:30-9:30 Rock Guitarist. Georgetown Café is hosting guitarist, Chris DeSantis, playing an array of cool rock-n-roll songs from yesterday and today.

    • 5:00-8:00 Jewelry and More. Misguided Angels, a fashion boutique, is hosting an open house showcasing several fun pop-ups with Ransom Jewelry, The Great Maier Mercantile and Robin Addleman Spires' Dirty Birdy. Be sure to stop by to discover what the excitement is all about in this award-winning shop and check out all their awesomeness!

    • 6:00-8:00 Bake Sale. Very Virginia Shop is hosting a bake sale to support LAWS - Loudoun Abused Women Shelter. Plus you can taste free samples of over 20 different flavors of Virginia peanuts and other locally made gourmet foods.

    • 6:00-8:00 Tumpet Tunes. Coldwell Banker Realty is featuring the trumpet player, Randy VanEpps, playing and singing a wide array of cool tunes.
