Subject: Maine COVID-19 Interim Guidance for Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers, their Employers, and Housing Providers

The DACF and DHHS, and the Maine Mobile Health Program, have collaborated to issue new Maine COVID-19 Interim Guidance for Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers, their Employers, and Housing Providers. This guidance complements and enhances federal CDC Guidance for Agricultural Workers and Employers, particularly regarding COVID-19 testing in Maine.

This guidance covers topics including:

  • Prevention and control measures that can be taken to minimize the spread of COVID-19 during agricultural activities, as well as in shared housing and transportation.
  • Instructions on what to do with suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19, who can assist with universal testing, and includes information about when employees can return to work.
  • Accessing the services of the Maine Mobile Health Program, which has a multi-lingual team that provides an array of screening, testing, and other support services.
