Inspiring Abilities Expo Offers Opportunities to Connect and Learn

Register today for the 2020  Spring Inspiring Abilities Expo! The expo offers families and professionals a great opportunity to network with organizations and service providers who meet the unique needs of individuals with disabilities. Visit the exhibit hall to meet and talk with therapy and service providers, nonprofit organizations, advocacy groups, recreation programs and other agencies serving adults and children with disabilities.  Child care is available on site so parents can have uninterrupted time to talk and learn from the exhibitors!

At 10:30 am we will feature a one hour presentation from the Bureau of Developmental Disabilities highlighting their concept paper on the redesign of the Medicaid Waivers. The waiver redesign project is a multi-year process to modernize and improve the services and supports array for Home and Community-Based Services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The waiver redesign Initial Concept paper was released for public comment in January 2020. The concept paper is an opportunity to provide feedback and input on the major ideas and path forward. The ideas presented are intended to be a reflection of the desires and core issues stakeholders have shared with BDDS over the past several years, and are being presented for stakeholder feedback. The comment period ends on April 17.
