THIS IS NOT A FULL-TIME TELEWORK POSITION. This position is located in the U.S. General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service (PBS), National Capital Region (NCR), Office of Facilities Management, 1800 F Street, NW Washington, DC 20405.
The Facilities Management and Services Programs Division (FMSPD) oversees regional programs related to the management and operation of space under the jurisdiction, custody or control of the Public Buildings Service (PBS). Taking its direction from GSA Central Office program offices, FMSPD provides guidance to the region's service centers and other organizations. There mission is to provide program management, support and guidance to our property managers in an effort to provide a safe, effective, healthy and efficient work environment for our customers.
The Deputy Director:
Plans, directs, develops, coordinates, and serves as program policies and procedures. Development of national and regional policies relating to fire safety, maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems, maintenance and repair of Government controlled buildings and spaces, child care, concessions and retail tenant services and utilities. Develops short and long-range plans, policies, goals and objectives Work includes developing and managing initiatives, including providing design services and architect/engineer capabilities for mechanical operations and concessions construction projects; providing or overseeing project management for repair and upgrade projects; and providing fire and safety code compliance, program management laws, codes and policies interpretations.
Directs, plans, assigns, reviews, and supervises the work of the branch chiefs who will be responsible for the staff functions, and will coordinate projects with the divisions/ service centers directors.

The GS-15 salary range starts at $142,701.00 per year.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is managing, coordinating and advising facilities management and services programs such as energy and sustainability programs; security and emergency management programs; environmental, safety, and fire protection programs; and building operations and tenant services programs. Such experience must include developing and implementing policy and procedures, including analyzing and monitoring programs or policies; presenting complex issues and providing recommendations to senior program managers; and developing and maintaining a system of management and internal controls.
