Child Care Program Status During COVID-19 Survey

Monday, March 23, 2020— Governor Whitmer issued a new Executive Order called “Stay Home, Stay Safe, Save Lives” that impacts all Michiganders. What does this mean for you, as a child care provider? If you remain open or choose to re-open during this emergency, you can only provide care for the children of “critical infrastructure and essential workforce” starting Tuesday, March 24, 2020.

If you already responded to the survey below and now your plans to remain open or re-open have changed, please do not complete the survey again. Because your plans and available slots may change daily, you will be contacted by a local partner in your community who is coordinating available child care for members of the essential workforce. The Governor called on Intermediate School Districts (ISDs) to help mobilize and coordinate efforts to expand capacity for child care services during this emergency. The ISDs will be partnering with many organizations and employers throughout the state, especially licensed center-based and home-based providers.
