If you're coming to Rotherham there are a number of places to park. We have Council car parks and street parking locations throughout the borough.
Parking is free in the town centre in Council owned car parks and on-street parking bays on Bank Holidays. Please note this does not include Clifton Park or Country Parks.
Rotherham Town Centre
Free Saturday parking
Free parking is available on Saturdays in all Council-owned off-street car parks in Rotherham town centre (no ticket required). The normal maximum duration time allowed still applies and is displayed in the brackets below.

- Westgate (all day)
- Riverside, Corporation Street (max stay 4 hours)

- Douglas Street (max stay 2 hours)
- Wellgate North (max stay 1 hour)
Free Sunday parking
Free all day parking on Sundays at all our car parks, except Wellgate multi-storey (which is closed on Sundays).
Please note that charges apply seven days per week at Clifton Park, The Museum, Thrybergh Country Park and Ulley Country Park
Electric vehicle charging
You can charge electric vehicles at 30 public charge points in key car parks and other locations across Rotherham.

Parking permits

Parking with a Blue badge
If you're a blue badge holder you're able to park in any Rotherham Council car park free of charges, you can also park free of charge in any designated on street disabled parking bay. These will be clearly indicated by a sign that has a blue wheelchair symbol. Unless the sign advises otherwise, you may park without a time limit.
In all instances the blue badge must be clearly displayed and where a time limit is enforced the blue parking clock must also be displayed.
