Summer Learning Opportunities

It's hard to believe that we only have four weeks of school remaining!  Though summer break is a great time to reset and recharge, we also want to let our families know about a few learning opportunities that we will be offering.  We've shared information already about some of these programs, and some of them will have more information to come.  As always, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.

SUMMER SCHOOL (CREDIT RECOVERY)
Our Summer School program is intended for credit recovery for any high school students who did not pass a core class (ELA, Math, Science, or Social Studies) during the 2020-2021 school year.

Because we do not have final grades in yet, you may not necessarily know if your student would qualify.  While we hope to not have any students in this scenario, we also want to provide this opportunity to help our students stay on track to graduate!

The summer school program will have students placed on our Apex Online Learning platform, and students will work through topics that they have not yet mastered in order to earn a passing grade for the course.  There is a small cost ($50) for each course, and our Summer School monitor will help guide students throughout the program.  It is a 6 week program, and we will have our doors open here at school for students to come in, use a Chromebook, and use our WiFi.

More information to come!

A PLUS ACADEMIC RECOVERY
A month or so ago, we sent out information about this opportunity.  If you missed it, please see the message here.  Since then, many parents have been contacted about this program.  If you are still interested, please reach out to us and let us know!  Our number is: 513-891-0010.

Please note that this program is NOT for credit recovery.  This program is for students who may have slipped behind either a little or a lot due to our various remote learning times due to the pandemic.  The schedule for this A Plus Academy is:

  • Mondays:
    ELA 7/8 (10-11:30) and Math 7/8 (12-1:30)
  • Tuesdays:
    ELA 7/8 (10-11:30) and Math 7/8 (12-1:30)
    ELA 9/10 (10-11:30) and Math 9/10 (12-1:30)
  • Wednesdays:
    ELA 9/10 (10-11:30) and Math 9/10 (12-1:30)

Students will report to the front office of the Jr/Sr High School and will be directed to their assigned classrooms.

ACT BOOTCAMP
Each summer, we provide an opportunity for students to work with our teachers and an online platform to help prepare our students for success on the ACT.  This summer, we will have two sessions (students would only participate in one session).  Best of all, these sessions are FREE to students!

  • Session 1: June 21st - July 2nd  (12:00pm - 3:00pm)
  • Session 2: August 2nd - August 10th (8:00am - 12:00pm)

These sessions are for incoming Juniors and Seniors.  If you are interested in this opportunity, please complete this form.
