Read Easy Pioneer

Read Easy is a national charity which provides free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching to the millions of adults in the UK who can’t read at all or who struggle to read.

We do this by supporting volunteers to establish Read Easy groups in their own communities, coordinated by volunteer management teams. Reading activity between Readers and Coaches usually takes place in safe community venues for half an hour, twice a week.

As statistics show this is an area of high need, we are keen to establish a group in Lambeth, so are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic individual to make this happen. You will network with other organisations to establish interest and support, and publicise the project to recruit other volunteers who will run the group.

If you are up for a challenge, have at least one day a week, Monday to Friday, and are interested in helping to offer life-changing opportunities to local people please get in touch. You can, if you wish, share the role with another volunteer.

Skills You'll Need
