Celebrate Climate Week September 20th - 26th with the Get There Green! 2021 Initiative |
September 20th - 26th is Climate Week NYCSince 2009, the international not-for-profit the Climate Group has hosted Climate Week NYC, a summit organized with the United Nations to bring international leaders from business, government and civil society together to showcase global climate action. Climate Week NYC events are both in person and virtual. Details on these events are available online. Visit now to take advantage of this unique opportunity to hear from climate and environmental leaders from around the world. Make sure you check out DEC's event's calendar to stay informed on DEC hosted Climate Week events across the state. Get There Green! 2021Lace up those sneakers, grease those gears, get those smartphone ticketing apps out, unplug the electric vehicle, or dust off the car cushions for a (vaccinated) friend because Get There Green! is coming up and you can pledge your green trip(s) online. Get There Green! is a week to promote and celebrate more sustainable modes of transportation. This year it is taking place September 20 through 26 during Climate Week NYC. During this week everyone is encouraged to join in a week of climate action by pledging to use a more sustainable mode of transportation for as many trips as they can. These include:
