DS Logon Premium Account

What is a DS Logon Premium Account?

DS Logon (DoD Self-service Logon) is a secure, self-service logon ID account created by the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) as an identity credential that allows people affiliated with the Department of Defense (DoD) or the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) access to several websites using a single username and password.

A DS Logon Premium account requires a certain amount of confidence or 'level of assurance' that you are who you say you are. This is why in person proofing is required for Premium credentials. This level of assurance proofing is required to fully access participating websites or applications.

Even though the name says Premium, this account is free. A DS Logon Premium account presently offers the highest level of access to website features. A DS Logon Premium account allows you to view personal data about yourself in VA and DoD systems, apply for benefits online, check the status of your claims, update your address information, and much more.

To obtain a DS Logon Premium account, you must prove your identity. Please see How do I upgrade my DS Logon Account to Premium?
