A distinguished panel of speakers will debate the impact of the pandemic on international trade at the INTA public hearing on 17 March 2021 from 16:45 to 18:45.

Marion JANSEN, Director at the OECD, Anabel GONZALEZ senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics and Pamela COKE-HAMILTON, Executive Director of the International Trade Center, with Professor EVENETT from Global Trade Alert as moderator, will debate the lessons learned about "Trade related aspects and implications of COVID-19". The focus will be on resilient, fair and sustainable supply chains, multilateralism vs unilateralism amid the pandemic and trade as a tool for a sustainable recovery. This event is part of INTA's reflection process on the review of the EU's trade policy triggered by the COVID-19 outbreak: it follows the Parliament's resolution on this topic that contributed to the Commission's communication presented by EVP Dombrovskis to INTA on 24 February and will feed into a Parliament's report expected before the summer.
