WI Supplier Diversity Program

The Wisconsin Supplier Diversity Program (SDP) certifies Minority-Owned (MBE), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (DVB) and Woman-Owned (WBE) businesses to provide better opportunity for them to do business with the State of Wisconsin and to assist the State of Wisconsin in achieving its goal of purchasing 5% with MBEs and 1% with DVBs. The SDP verifies that businesses are at least 51% owned, managed, and controlled by a member or members of selected population. WI certified MBE and DVB businesses may receive a permissive 5% bid preference when they bid on state contracts.

Why Become Certified?

Being certified with the State of WI has numerous benefits.

1. Database listing: MBEs, WBEs, and DVBs are listed in Wisconsin's Database of Certified Suppliers. Prime contractors, State Agencies, University Campuses, government entities and private businesses use the database when seeking diverse suppliers.

2. Meeting State goals: The State of Wisconsin has goals of purchasing 5% with certified MBEs and 1% with certified DVBs. MBEs and DVBs who are certified have access to opportunities with the State of Wisconsin and help the State achieve its diverse spend goals.

3. Bid preference: MBEs and DVBs are eligible to receive a 5% bid preference when they bid on state projects and contracts.

For these reasons and more, become a certified diverse supplier with the Supplier Diversity Program!
